Our Auction with a Difference.

Did you know how amazing the people of Chewton are????
Did you know that Chewton Swimming Pool has to raise all it own funds for repairs and maintenance????
Put them together and you have a golden opportunity.
We are auctioning the opportunity to spend time with and learn from, some of our most talented, knowledgeable and lovely Chewton locals. You will bid for this opportunity and in the process raise much needed funds for pool repairs.
This is a chance for you to meet new people and learn a new skill, have some fun, or increase your local knowledge. Maybe bid for a spot with a friend and spend some time together doing something a little different, or buy a spot for someone else as a gift.
This is a silent auction and all places will be allocated on August 10. If you can’t attend the Bonfire but still want to be a part of it, please throw some cash at a mate who is coming, and word them up on which session you’d like to attend.

Boozy Botanicals hosted by Giles Lapalus.
Giles Lapalus is a winemaker, the creator of Maidenii Vermouth and co-author of ‘The Book of Vermouth’. Giles is an enthusiastic host who will take you through the process of vermouth making and tasting; Explaining the art and science of vermouth making, from foraging the botanicals, macerating tinctures and blending ferments. Giles will explain how to mix drinks with different vermouth styles and you will get to taste a range of delicious vermouths. For only 10 drunken adults, minimum bid $35.
‘Wanna be a rockstar?’ kids music class hosted by Scott Sanders
Scott Sanders, member of legendary band, The Zero Point, local music teacher and super talented musician, will run a jam session for 7 aspiring rockstars. Scott will provide a range of instruments for the kids to try out and provide pointers on rockstar antics for budding performers. Minimum bid: $10 includes instruments and rockstar attitude.
Wait till you see Scott in action at the bonfire, every kid is going to want to be like him!
Creating sculptures using lost wax bronze casting techniques hosted by Zoe Amor
Zoe Amor is an acclaimed artist who works in different media and across many different aspects of the arts. Zoe will host 4 incredibly lucky people for a 3-hour session to create a sculptural wax maquette which can then be prepared for casting. (Casting would be at the participants own expense, and would be available for the special price of under $200) Zoe will show participants how to sculpt a form in wax in her studio and then the process of casting can be explained during a visit to the Garage Art Foundry, Elphinstone. Minimum bid: $200 including tools and materials (but not the cost of casting)
